The White Comet of Akagi
Look at
this Jada Initial D diecast replica of Ryosuke’s Mazda SAVANNA RX-7 III (FC3S)
– commonly known as FC in both Initial D manga and anime.
Before we
talk about this Initial D diecast from Jada, it is worth noting that this car
is very important since Ryosuke Takahashi is a major character of the series.
For those who are not aware, Ryosuke is the founder of both Red Suns (from
Akagi) and Project D.
Ryosuke
is a well accomplished racer with his Mazda RX7 that he is actually qualified
to enter the professional circuit. This makes it more interesting as he is
undefeated in the Akagi’s local racing scene while at the same a student of
medicine. He is actually dubbed as the White Comet of Akagi due to his racing
prowess.
Anyway,
Ryosuke formed the Red Suns together with his younger brother (Keisuke
Takahashi) as the team’s top racers. The goal is to go different regions and
dominate that place’s racing scene. Unfortunately, a monkey wrench was thrown
in to their plan when Keisuke was defeated by the Ghost of Akina – Initial D’s
protagonist, Takumi Fujiwara.

Anyway,
enough with the spoilers, let’s focus with this amazing diecast replica from
Jada.
Jada Initial
D diecast replicas are popularly known for its amazing details and is highly
attracting. Tomica also released a Ryosuke’s Mazda RX7. Unfortunately, it is not
at par when compared with Jada’s Mazda FC.
Jada’s Initial
D Mazda RX7 comes with rubber tires, accurate decals, and even the car mods
seen in either manga or anime can be recognized on Jada’s diecast replica.
I
actually have both Jada and Tomica’s Mazda RX7 diecast replica. However, I haven’t
photographed the latter yet. I’ll do a side by side coparison when time permits.
But for the meantime, enjoy Jada’s Mazda RX7 diecast pictures below.
